Story

Hi all, thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

On April 13th 2008 i will be running the Flora London Marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and also in memory of my mum who passed away in September.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer of the pleurae on new years day this year which came as a huge shock.  The Macmillan nurse fought on my mother's behalf to ensure she recieved chemotherapy treatment.  Unfortunately the chemotherapy didn't work and she was put on course of a cancer drug called Tarceva, unfortunately the drug did not have any effect.  And by this time the cancer had spread, she fought bravely but sadly passed away in September.

I should also mention St Luke's Hospice in Winsford who did a fantastic job looking after my mother in her final month.

This will be my first marathon but i'm really determined to do it, trainings going well.  I'll also be running the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon on March 9th which will be good preperation for the London Marathon.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
