I am undertaking the Sleep Easy challenge 2018 because I want to raise awareness of street homelessness, experience what it is like to be street homeless and help the YMCA DLG with funds towards combating youth homelessness.

I am a former employee of YMCA DLG and worked for them for 3 years so I know first hand how valuable the money raised will be. I am still working in homelessness prevention in my current job and am passionate about assisting anyone who is homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Shelter is the first step on the hierarchy of human needs according to psychologist Maslow. Without shelter human's struggle to make progress with other areas of their lives.

I appreciate any amount of sponsorship, however small or large, and I thank you for taking the time to read my story.
