Give up your Christmas cards! · 22 October 2012

We support people with a learning disability, autism or mental health needs across the country. Our vision is a world where everyone matters and everyone cares. We provide creative services that are designed around the needs of each person.

Story

This year, we're asking people to make a donation to mcch instead of sending Christmas cards!

1.7bn Christmas cards are sent every year in Britain, meaning that one person sends an average of 27 cards. With each individual card costing around £1.63, that's a lot of money!

Instead of sending cards this year, we're asking you to make a donation to mcch. The money we raise from this appeal will be used to buy specialist equipment for our Positive Behaviour Support team, who work with people who exhibit challenging behaviours. Simple equipment like a weighted blanket or a special car harness can make a huge difference to the life of someone with challenging behaviour, and ultimately help to reduce the isolation and exclusion they face on a daily basis.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to us and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!
