Story

At the age of 4 my Niece Shaye was Diagnosed with Cerebal Palsy due to a premature Birth.

Shaye has many difficulties in life with learning, her interaction with other people, balance and her general mobility. This means she visits the Serennu Centre on a regular basis for physiotherapy and to undertake Botox treatments.

The Serennu Centre has provided her with a wheel chair, Frame, Splints and  other mobility aids which has helped her with her physical development and confidence leading through her younger childhood and current teenage years.

I therefore am running this half marathon to raise money for this superb charity as a way of saying thank you for all the help and support you have given Shaye and hopefully this will benefit other children and their families like they have helped mine.

Sparkle supports children in South Gwent with a disability and/or developmental difficulty. Around 500 children visit the Serennu Centre every week for treatment, support and care. It is the only facility of its kind in the UK where children and families can access medical and holistic services from under one roof.

Please consider making a donation to Sparkle. In doing so, you will be helping transform the lives of hundreds of local children. Life isn’t easy for many of them, but we can help.

Donate today and help a child sparkle.
