Mega Hike · 26 June 2010 ·

Based in Manchester, MedEquip4Kids improves the health of babies and children in the UK by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. Because we value all aspects of children’s wellbeing, we also deliver workshops in schools to support young people’s mental health.

Story

An intrepid team of explorers from leading media planning and buying agency in Manchester- MediaEdge:CIA is setting off on a torturous adventure across the pennines the weekend of 25th/26th June.

Team members include the walkers Laura Sweeting, Tahera Dudhwala, Danny Hopwood and Alex Brown - and a crew of much needed support staff, including our very own MEC SEO consultant Ben Mckay (in spirit of course!).

We are not going to lie to you, MEGAHIKE is an exceptionally challenging 50 mile team event set in the heart of the Pennines. This monster 50 mile hike will begin at day break on the 26th June 2010 from Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough. The route will test us both physically and mentally as we trek along sections of the ‘backbone of England’ the Pennine Way.

This is all in aid of MedEquip4Kids

The charity’s policy is to fund items known to improve the care provided to children but not readily available with the NHS's limited budgets.
