Story

Please help us to continue funding life-changing medical research.

Medical research has never been more important, and we're committed to supporting the most promising research in areas of great clinical need but where there is low investment, creating the conditions required to take the improvement of human health to new and exciting frontiers.

The Medical Research Foundation team are continuing to work as normally as possible despite the closure of our Old Street HQ, and we will be working hard to fundraise to make up our income, continue with our planned research funding competitions and support even more of the UK’s brightest researchers.

Please support our staff who are all taking part in The 2.6 Challenge so we can continue to fund vital medical research.

Thank you!

Our 2.6 Challenges:

  • Cheryl (with her family & dog) - 2.6 mile run
  • Beth - 26 minute online Barre class
  • Nicole - 2.6 mile run
  • Emily - 2.6 mile run
  • Alison (and her daughters aged 4 and 2) - creating a 2.6m long rainbow themed piece of art
  • Angela - 2.6km swim

Take a look our website to find out the various ways our our researchers are helping to combat the Covid-19 outbreak, from investigating treatments and examining how the virus affects the lungs, to helping the NHS prepare for incoming patients.
