In memory of Megan Mason - Baby Basics

Megan Mason, who lived in Bromley Cross and was fit and healthy, passed away on Thursday, June 25, after going for a lie-down.
Her death was a “complete and utter shock” and came at a time when the family were getting ready to move house.
Megan volunteered at St Brendan’s Nursery, Rita’s Out of School Childcare Service, Harwood Young People’s Centre, Turton Out of School Club and Harwood Methodist Church parent and toddlers group, among other groups.
Mum Cheryl described musical and concert-lover Megan as a “special soul” and “so perfect”.
She said: “Megan touched so many people’s hearts.
“Children absolutely loved her. She played games and sung with them and always did it with a smile on her face.
“The children are really going to miss her.
“Megan loved spending her life volunteering for other people. She did a lot more than we even knew about.
“We did not know we had an angel with us but we do now.
“It has given us so much comfort in how much people held Megan in so much high regard.
“We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the love that people had for Megan.”
Cheryl and her husband Chris said that Megan’s five brothers and one sister have also been comforted by finding out how many people she helped and that she was so “beautiful and precious”.
