Story
Many of you may now perceive me as an athlete, after all this is my 4th Marathon. Does it get any easier, the answer is no. If anything my training is getting more intense, as the years go by. Each step I take will be in aid of Camp Simcha and its amazing cause; improving the quality of life for children suffering with serious childhood illnesses.
As a grandma I wanted to do something for Camp Simcha, a children’s charity whose incredible work I have heard of through friends who have been involved or used the charities services over the years. Camp Simcha provides over 20 practical and emotional support services for the parents and powerful positive experiences for the children, including the siblings who are often the forgotten sufferers when a child is seriously ill. They currently support over 1000 family members across the UK.
What your money can buy?
£500: 20 or more children to go an unforgettable outing
£250: 3 days of Keshet (specialised summer scheme) for a seriously ill child – I am hosting a celebration dinner party for those who donate £250+ so please join us in helping seriously ill children and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal by me!
£150: 4 art sessions with our Art Therapist for a Camp Simcha child
£100: an evening of respite care to provide a much needed night sleep for parents
£50: hospital transport for one week for families who need it
£30: pay for a volunteer take a child out for a treat e.g. a Pizza or a cinema trip
This Grandma can. So this Grandma will raise vital funds for Camp Simcha, to ensure that they can continue to change lives for these children and their families. I would like to thank you in advance for your support, it is hugely appreciated by me and more importantly by the children who will benefit so much from your contribution.
