Our Story

The Big Day 6th July 2013

What a day!  We came, we saw and we conquered 27 miles in the sweltering heat and blazing sunshine, tons of sunscreen and gallons of water, but we all did it and made it to the finish line and completed our challenge.

A big thank you from all the team for all your generous donations and for the support from families, friends and work colleagues (especially Terri, Louisia, Jo, Joanna and Phil who came up and supported us on the day), we couldn’t have done it without you all

Welcome to the MGJV Trekkies “Just Giving Page” and thank you for taking time out to visit it.  

 

As a group we have decided to take on the exciting fund raising challenge of “TrekFest  - The Peaks”, trekking 27miles in 12 hours over the Peak Districts National Park  on Saturday 6th July.

 

The 18 trekkies taking part are: Sue Jacobs, Helen Mckenzie, Will Browning, Dave Tann, Lee Ladd, Kinga Lubomirska, Kevin Weatherill, Bernie Dunne, Mark Kinsey, Kevin Allen, Andy Hemmett, Scott Boobier, Alun Thomas, Ray Green, Liam Ryan, Graham Rock, James Ruff and Rob Hughes.

 

We thought it would be great to have a team event, to get fit and have fun while raising funds for our chosen charity CLIC Sargent which supports Children and Young Adults that have been diagnosed with cancer.
