Me again!! I ran the VLM 2022 (albeit raised funds in 2019 as event was delayed due to pandemic) and the challenge was immense. It took me 4:14 to complete and I think I enjoyed it!..........I then ran Berlin marathon in 2022 in my goal time of sub 4 hours....just! (3:59) which was one of the highlights of my life to date. The reason I love running (and the challenge only a marathon can give), is that my hero is an accomplished marathon runner. This hero (also known as Dad/Peter Kingsley) is now fighting Leukaemia and just like he did with his running career, is doing so with the least amount of fuss, support of my mum/family and unimaginable stamina. We are all so proud of him and so I wanted to raise funds to support a charitable cause that would help people in a similar situation www.leukaemiauk.org.uk .I'm going to be pounding the streets with so many other people in mind. I know times are hard and I am truly grateful for everyone who participates with any amount. I'm planning to complete this in a PB (no easy feat for a 110KG man who wasn't constructed to run), and promise that I will give it my all and suffer in pursuit of my goal.
