Buglife is the only organisation in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates, and we are actively working to save Britain’s rarest little animals. Invertebrates underpin life on earth and without them the world’s ecosystems would collapse. Saving the small things that run the planet.

Story

Michael passed away on 22 December 2019, surrounded by family. Decades ago, he was raising the issue of environmental degradation through fragmented/isolated ecosystems with reducing invertebrate diversity.

Buglife (https://www.buglife.org.uk/) is a charity focused on exactly these issues, and we would like to help them in Mike's memory.

As someone else who knows a little about these things said:

‘If we and the rest of the back-boned animals were to disappear overnight, the rest of the world would get on pretty well. But if the invertebrates were to disappear, the world’s ecosystems would collapse.’ Sir David Attenborough
