An Ironman Triathlon takes a great deal of endurance, extending beyond physical strength to harness mental resilience. Completing this personal achievement will refine my skills of consistency and hard work which will act as a benchmark for the way that I would like to face any challenge I am presented with.

The hardships incurred in this race cannot even compare to what millions of children face around the world each day.  Save the Children is an organization dedicated to increasing and sustaining the health and livelihood of children across the globe. Of all the money we raise for Save the Children, 90% of it goes directly to the children in need. 50% of these donations will go towards children right here in our local communities while the other half will support the global organization where it is needed most.

Every donation, large and small, plays an insurmountable role in a child's life. A $5 donation provides mosquito netting or lifesaving diarrhea medicine, a $10 donation provides a full baby kit for healthcare workers to distribute, a $50 donation can help vaccinate a child against many preventable childhood illnesses, and a $100 donation can train a healthcare worker to provide life-saving care for newborn babies and their mothers.
