Mick and I are getting Married!  And instead of a wedding gift we urge people to donate to Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK.  Laura's sister, Kirsty, suffers from Primary Pulmonary Hypertension which is a life threatening incurable illness.  Luckily Kirsty responds well to treatment but many don't.  Kirsty's quality of life is greatly reduced and she has to endure ongoing invasive treatment.  Kirsty's only other treatment option would be to have a heart and lung transplant which carries a great risk.

The illness and respective charity recieves little exposure as the illness was only discovered fairly recently.  Before 1990, there were very few treatments available for pulmonary hypertension and the survival rate was approximately two to four years.
