The Hannibal Challenge · 4 April 2008

Greenhouse aims to develop social, thinking, emotional and physical (STEP) skills for young people in London’s most disadvantaged communities through high quality, intensive sports programmes delivered by inspirational coaches

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
This challenge winds through three European countries in 3 days. France, Italy, and finally Switzerland.

The plan is, as far as is possible, to retrace the footsteps of Hannibal and his band of 40 Elephants as they crossed the Alps for their attack on Rome.

This trek will take us through some of the best scenery in Europe, if not the world, crossing two high alpine passes and experiencing three distinct cultures. (Although it is unlikely I will be able to appreciate it in my state.)

It will be physically hard work, reaching a maximum altitude of 2537m (8321ft), crossing 24 miles

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Greenhouse Schools Project will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
