Working in the water sector makes me acutely aware of how essential water is to people's lives. I'm still shocked that 1 in 9 people worldwide don't have access to clean water and 1 in 3 don't have access to a proper toilet. WaterAid aim to change that.

So it was an easy choice to run my first (and likely to be only) marathon for WaterAid. I always wanted to tick "run a marathon" off my bucket list and raising money for WaterAid provided the motivation to do it.
