Story
There is no doubt that those who have been blessed with inner and outer insight recognise that the Beloved Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless him and grant him peace, remains at the heart of all existence and is a central influential factor in all realms of the outer and inner worlds. Whether for or against, every being is affected by this pure embodiment of Allah's grace and mercy. As Muslims, we remain forever proud of our true guide and are grateful to Allah for connecting us to this splendid character which is a guiding model for us to follow.
Muslims around the world, not merely during the month of Rabi al-Awwal, but throughout their lives show gratitude by demonstrating their love through generous acts of devotion and celebrate his birth and arrival which the Qur'an refers to as a divine favour from Allah. Milad Funds are set up all around the world which cater for specific milad activities as well as supporting various initiatives which promote and take forward the message of the Chosen One, Allah bless him and grant him peace.
With this love and dedication comes The Milad Fund and it is an honour to set it up on JustGiving. All proceeds from this Fund through JustGiving directly go to Jamia Al-Karam towards specific milad activities continuously held under the auspices of Jamia Al-Karam and will go towards promoting the awareness and understanding of Islam, the pursuit of a high standard of education for Muslim children in the United Kingdom, training and educating of Islamic scholars, chaplains and Imams, capacity building of Islamic institutions and the education and training of female Islamic scholars. All these and similar initiatives are in order to further the divine message brought by the Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he did say, "I have been sent as a teacher".
Please enjoy and be spiritualy uplifted by the following excerpt concerning the birth of Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless him and grant him peace, in the words of Justice Shaykh Muhammad Karam Shah:
"Such a blessed child was born whose charming face not only pleased his grieving mother with true happiness, but smiles of joy began adorning the lips of every grief stricken individual. With the appearance of this embodiment of light not only did Abdullah's gloomy house of despair and sorrow begin to glitter, but wherever despair and dismay had clawed, there rays of hope began spreading light and cheering broken hearts. Not only did the misfortune of the Arabian Peninsula wake up but humanity itself, which was for centuries bound in the chains of greed and lust, and which was moaning as it was tightened in the ferric clamps of cruelty and barbarity, it received the bracing glad tidings of freedom from every type of mental, economic and political slavery. Not only did the ungodly inhabitants of Makkah and Hijaz become god-knowing and self-knowing persons, but the doors of the tavern of divine knowledge and heavenly recognition opened for every resident from amongst the Arabs and the non-Arabs. All mankind was invited that whosoever wants to, may come forward and with as much courage as he has lift, place to his lips and drink from this goblet of pure spiritual liqour. Melodious birds became indulged in chanting, for he had come who would provide the destroyed garden of humanity, from the harshness of autumn, with an everlasting spring. The embarassed rosebuds did not blossom out of joy, now he had come who would wake them and turn them into blooming flowers. The dispirited buds began to smile, for he had come who would anoint them with paradisiacal colour and fragrance. The polished pearls of wisdom that lay useless in the oceans of knowledge and realisation, within the embrace of oyster shells for centuries, the desire of fame and appearance began stretching its limbs within them."
