Story
I'm not known for my natural athletic prowess but I've chosen to take on this challenge with three excellent women in mind in particular - to support the formidable Kirsty Morrison who's toughing out chemo as we speak, my Auntie Linda, beyond brave and tenacious, and in loving memory of Pam Hall, for whom I don't really have the words.
I had the joy of working with Kirsty at Durham SU and she is one of the most efficient, fierce and inspiring people I've ever worked with. She's currently toughing out a gruelling series of operations, chemo, and radiotherapy and her bravery and resilience is admirable. I'm so proud to be part of #TeamKirsty and excited to walk all 26 miles with her just two months after all that is over!
If you've got a spare couple of quid that you'd only spend on a latte, hit me up. If you've got a spare tenner that you'd only spend on a couple of beers, I'd be more than grateful for you to chuck it this way. If you've got a little bit more going spare and you'd like the warm glow of knowing you've contributed to the incredible work Macmillan does supporting cancer warriors and their loved ones, please consider a donation.
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right right there with you.
