Minibus for Ukraine

The Butler family who own Barn-Store Alton, The Lavender Fields and Hartley Park Farms, Selborne have been long standing supporters of their tenant, Chernobyl Children's Lifeline. Chernobyl Children's Lifeline(CCLL) is a small , local, charity mainly run by a team of very loyal and hardworking volunteers and a very dedicated CEO. The charity HQ is based on the farm CCLL, has supported children and their families and communities in Ukraine and Belarus who are still affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986. Many are still suffering from debilitating illnesses as a result. The charity make sure that they spend the bare minimum on administration so that the vast majority of money raised goes directly to helping children and their families. Examples of their works would be building toilets for schools that only have them outside and providing life saving medicines for children. At this moment they are trying to get vital aid into Ukraine to support people affected by the conflict and help evacuate people out of the country using their long established network of volunteers on the ground. They will also be there for the long term to continue their work and help rebuild communities and peoples lives when the current crisis ends.

The Butlers business have donated £500 towards the purchase as well as a local football club, Manor Colts (Simon's son Jamie plays for) in Alton have raised over £1000. This makes a good start towards the bus which we will look to purchase in Poland and will be running from Chelm in Poland into Ukraine taking essential supplies and transporting people to hospitals and out of the country to safety if possible.

Please help us support the charity and the people of Ukraine by donating and sharing this page to anyone who you think might be interested.

Many thanks for your support
