Anaphylaxis UK is the only UK-wide charity operating solely for the growing numbers of people at risk of serious allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.

Story

My son Arun is 5 years old and he was diagnosed at the age of 6 months with being at risk from severe allergic reactions (Anaphylaxis) to nuts. Since then not a day has passed for my wife Popi and I; where we are have not worried that he may accidentally consume nuts at school, at a birthday party, eating out or by sharing food with his friends.

There is always a deep fear that one day when he is older that he may consume nuts and have a severe reaction and I can only hope it is not fatal.

The Anaphylaxis campaign has provided us with invaluable support and information relating to foods and methods that can keep Arun alive and safe.  The support and advice  includes us always carrying an auto adrenaline injector, scrutinising food labels and  educating our friends and family (including Arun) as to the severity of his allergy.

I would like to thank you for your kind support on behalf of Arun and The Anaphylaxis Campaign.
