Many of you will have been fortunate enough to have met Flynn Hargreaves; to his clients he was a fantastic, compassionate vet, but to us he was goofy, lovable, adventure seeking Flynn. 

Flynn had an amazing way of reminding everyone how much they meant to him, he genuinely loved and respected his friends and he had  an infectious optimism and happiness.

What many of us didn't realise was that, he had been battling depression for sometime on his own and recently made the decision to end his own suffering. 

We are absolutely devastated. We will always live with the tragedy and relive the happy memories - but the sad reality is that this is not uncommon within our profession, where suicide rates are shockingly high. We are running for Vet Life, a support group dedicated to reaching out to those in the Veterinary industry going though difficult times; they provide resources, someone to listen and confidential advice. They have begun the conversation about mental health and we need to encourage our friends to join in - there is absolutely no shame or weakness in reaching out. 

So help us raise awareness and funds in this short time, doing something Flynn would have loved - sadly he cannot take up his place at the Bristol 10K this year but instead we will all run in memory of him.
