The Mobile News team will be running a marathon during lunch on Friday, September 18.

We hope to clock up as many miles as possible between us, and meet or exceed the marathon's 26.2 miles in one hour in order to raise money. This is for The Cure Parkinson's Trust because there currently is no cure.

The Cure Parkinson's Trust is leading the way to find a cure for Parkinson's. £1000 (our fundraising goal) could fund 5 days of Parkinson's research or 50 hours of care from a specialist Parkinson's nurse.

One person in every 500  has Parkinson's. In time Parkinson's affects muscles through your body. In the later stages, the person is unable to care for themselves. They can be wheelchair or bed bound and experience hallucinations and delusions as the neurological condition progresses.

This is why Mobile News is going to make every step count and try to raise as much money as possible for The Cure Parkinson's Trust in our lunch hour.
