Story

I decided to do the run for Breast Cancer Care.

Hannah's friend's Mum died just before Christmas. Her son explained that the family was given help and support through the Lavender Trust, which is an arm of Breast Cancer Care that helps younger women with Breast Cancer, and he would like to raise money for them. His mum had to fight against her body every day so that she could see her children, but didn't get to watch the Christmas play, put her children to bed on Christmas Eve, or see them on Christmas morning.

On the other hand my body is completely healthy, and yet I spent the year doing the opposite to her. Despite 4 suicide attempts and a serious car crash this year, I did get to do those things with Hannah. A huge part of me feels like, as I do still have a working heart, lungs and set of limbs, I owe it to the Mums that are still living with Breast Cancer to make sure that they see next Christmas with their children. I have overcome so many negative thoughts in 2014, so 2015 is about finding out why I am still here, and to make that time count.

Helping doesn't necessarily have to mean giving money by the way-ideas for fundraising, or even a "just keep going", really do help x
