Mortgage Bureau has long been a supporter of Little Hearts Matter and this year we wanted to do something special by taking on our biggest charity challenge yet. 

Michelle Stewart, Jamie Barnett, Nicola Adams, Stuart Robertson, Neil Alkins, Lorner Lister, James Collings, Sam Gee, Vicki Collings-Cramp, Emma Walton, Lewis Allison, Mark Clouston, Lucy Jones, Ian Carr, David Iddon, Kris Metcalf, Alex Owen, Joe Fairbrother, Andy O'Toole, Cameron Brown, Emily Griffin, Jason Wakefield, Alex Hyde, Paul Horner, Mark Pender, Ben Walker, Samantha Carnell, Lee Cardwell, Josh Cardwell, are  all becoming Half a Heart Heroes taking on a 25km triathlon (all indoors in pools and gyms) and each of our three offices will have their chance to take this challenge on and most importantly raise as much money as possible for this charity that is of course very close to our heart. 

This will be a huge challenge for the majority of people taking this on. The thought of swimming, running and cycling 25 km is frightening most of us, let alone doing it! Further more Michelle Stewart & Jamie Barnett will be carrying out all 3 of the Triathlons taking a total of 75km. 

So can we ask you to dig deep and sponsor these guys per KM.

Little Hearts Matter is a charity that supports children with single ventricle heart conditions - or half a heart. The charity supports families on their half a heart journey no matter where it might take them. The children have to have three major heart operations by the age of just 4 or 5 years old just to survive and even then, nearly 40 per cent of the children diagnosed don't make it to the age of 6. 

Even for those that survive and make it to teenage years, there are numerous challenges to overcome like low energy, feelings of isolation and a lack of understanding by the wider public. 

So, if these children and families can overcome these problems, we can do this!
