As-salamu alaykum,

2 years ago, on the 9th of September 2019, we lost a very dear person to our family and community, my uncle Mohammed Bashir. He lost a 5 year long battle with cancer. May Allah swt grant him Jannah, Ameen. During his life he faced many challenges and hardships, but his bright smile and personality always shone. He never failed to support his loved ones and always helped them in their time of need; he did that until his very last breath. 

My family have come together and decided to raise £10,000 to build a mosque for the needy as a Saqada Jaariyah on his behalf. 

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them,” (Hadith, Muslim).

In Shaa Allah these donations will help provide a place of worship for Muslims and bring us all closer to Allah swt. Please do donate so we can raise the necessary funds, no matter how big or small your contribution is. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” (Bukhari)

We will always remember my uncle as a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend. May Allah swt allow us to reunite with his beautiful soul in Jannah. May Allah swt forgive us for all our shortcomings, Ameen.
