As you know, we are marking Mr Gareth Jones' retirement by raising money for Christel House, Bangalore. This is his preferred way of marking his time as Head.

Pupils at Christel House are taken from the very poorest surrounding communities and are given a free education along with all of the other necessities to help them flourish. These include uniform, food (two meals a day), medical assistance, school equipment, transport, counselling and learning support services. Over their time at the school, pupils are taught to lift their sights and to help break the cycle of poverty by continuing into good further education and employment placements, with which the school assists them in their applications.

At the end of term Mr Tom Knowles will be visiting the school in Bangalore to help with their maths programme, and we very much hope that we will be able to send him to India with a handsome gift that will support the work of this wonderful charity.

The target is currently set at £6,000, but can always be raised!
