Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I know we all receive lots of requests for sponsorship so I am very grateful you have chosen to visit my page.

Last year I concentrated my efforts to Cancer Research UK, this year I want to support the excellent work of Cancerbackup. They are the leading national charity providing free information and support to people with cancer, their families and friends. Cancer nurse specalists on the helpline answer questions on any aspect of cancer for anyone affected by this disease.

To support those who support those affected I am doing a 10k walk in Glasgow on 13th May 2007 and I would like to ask for your help in raising money for this cause.

My Father died of cancer in 1989 having battled it for over 3 years. Having information readily available to the sufferers, their family, friends and other carers is a vital support service to all those who are affected by this dreadful disease.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is easiest way to sponsor me: Cancerbackup will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your sponsorship at no cost to you.

Thank you for looking & reading. Any sponsorship you can give will be much appreciated not only by me, but by the countless millions we will help support by raising as much money as we can for this very special charity.
