Story
Hello, my name is Mia, I am a runner, mother and wife. BUT, I am also a LONDONER. I have lived in London for 12 years, and now I have the privilege to call it, home. Having lived all over the world, I can truly say, that London is one of the greatest cities to live in. I met my husband here and started my family here. I also started running here, along the Thames and have fallen in love over and over again with this great city. As a runner, we always have favourite landmarks to run by. The Cutty Sark ship, is one of them. I remember when it almost burned down to the ground, back in 2007. So every time I see it, I am in awe, over how much they were able to save, and how well the ship was preserved. The Cutty Sark, a tea clipper built in 1869, has survived throughout history, to become the visual jewel of Greenwich. So, this year, I am so excited to have the opportunity to run my 1st marathon AND represent the jewel of Greenwich, the Cutty Sark. So if you love, London, like I do, and want to preserve its heritage, please please sponsor me. No donation is too big or too small in helping preserve the Cutty Sark of Greenwich, London.
My profile picture, is a picture of my father and I, after a run in Hyde Park back in 2009. Yikes! Time flies...He came all the way from Paris to support me. It is one of my most treasured memories.
