In May 2021, a nine man team from MSF will cycle coast to coast from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. This epic charity bike ride takes place over 3 days to raise funds for the North East children's charity, Brave Hearts of the North East. As a result of COVID-19, many charitable organisations are now in an extremely precarious position as fundraising activities have been seriously curtailed. 

We understand our responsibility to social value and where we can support our local charities, in particular, these little warriors. Brave Hearts of the North East is a non-for-profit charity which recognises courage and bravery of children of the North East of England. Brave Hearts was founded in 1989 as a channel for parents, nurses, friends and family of brave children to be able to nominate them to be recognised and rewarded with a Brave Hearts of the North East crystal and a gift of their choice.

Brave Hearts receives a flood of applications each year for children between the ages of 5 and 15 years to become a Brave Heart. Inspired by an amazing young girl, Brave Hearts continues to put smiles on the faces of really courageous children throughout Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear and Cleveland & Cumbria.
