Story
My wonderful Husband, Jaz, who was also my best friend, soul mate and the other half who made up me, sadly passed away on 22nd February 2007 (aged 28) after and long and brave battle against cancer.
He was much loved by many people, and he often left an instant impression on people the first time he met them. Always there for you whenever you needed him, always smiling and joking. The love he had for people would have been enough to comfort the whole world. It is such a shame that such a beautiful person (inside and out), has been taken away so young.
Jaz had a very rare form of cancer called synovial sarcoma of the head and neck which is predominantly found in children and young adults. As this disease makes up 1% of all types of cancer, research and funding is low compared to other cancers.
I hope to heighten people's awareness of this cancer and fundraise for the Royal Marsden Hospital which has a specialist Sarcoma Unit that looks into research and drugs for this cancer.
Therefore on 3rd November, this year, I am planning to do a charity tandem skydive in his memory and for a worthwhile cause and hope that you will all donate generously. A little goes a long way!
I am paying for this skydive out of my own pocket so please be assured that 100% of your donation will go direct to the charity.
My initial target was £1000 but because of the overwhelming response that I am receving I would like to raise this to £3000. If i raise anywhere near this, I am truly grateful to you all. And if I raise money beyond this, I'll be even more happier. Thank you for all your love and support.
So thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Please donate generously.
Many thanks for your support.
