Clumber Memory Walk 2018 · 7 October 2018 ·

Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

In 2012 my Auntie Marion aka Marnie lost the battle with vascular dementia. This year I am walking with her sister my Auntie Kathleen and family.

I'm celebrating my 50th birthday this year and will walk the 6km walk with Dexter my dog. I would like my family and friends to sponsor Marnie's Army as my birthday gift.

My Auntie and family raised over £1000 between them last year and hope with everyone's support and my walk this year to smash the total for this amazing cause.

Please support us in our mission to raise money to find a cure for this unbelievably cruel, complex and heartbreaking diease.

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
