Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

My mother suffered from vascular dementia, and lost her love of life as well as her memories. All dementias gradually destroy the personality of the sufferer, and this loss is perhaps the worst part of the condition. Those caring for someone with dementia need a lot of support. Maybe we will see a reduction in dementia as we understand more of the causes but I doubt we will ever completely eradicate it, and the work of the Alzheimer's Society in supporting those suffering from it and their carers will continue to be needed.
