Like most of us I never thought this awful disease would effect me or my family....but it did. I watched my best friend fade away from me and although it hurt like hell, I knew that deep down inside she was still my Nan. She may have been confused and forgetful, but she loved us with all her heart, right to the very end. 

The last words she ever said to me was 'I love you with all my heart'.
