Story

Hello everyone!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online as our team has committed to raise £1,500.

Over the 19th and 20th July 2008 we will be taking part in Trailwalker UK, which is a 100km (62 mile) hike from Petersfield to Brighton (along the South Downs Way) for teams of four - with only 30 hours to do it!

Here's how your money could help support the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust:-

£5 could pay for two school textbooks

£10 could pay for fishing nets; one net could catch enough fish to support 80 people

£14 could buy a blackboard for a school classroom

£23 could pay for 10 Oxfam buckets which are specially designed to keep water safe and clean

£30 could pay for school dinners for 50 hungry children

£36 could provide safe water for 50 people

£50 could buy a donkey to ease the burden of carrying large loads over long distances (and provides free fertiliser!)

£100 could buy essential medicines for a whole community for six months

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam Trailwalker will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
