We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

Norma Parkinson Paine died peacefully at home in Audley Binswood Leamington Spa on 19 February 2022

A Lawyer, Mother of two children, Chair of innumerable Committees, she who was on the National Board of Citizens Advice Bureaux, managing all the CABs in Greater Manchester and toured the Country lecturing and tutoring CAB advisers.

She was a glider pilot, an advanced motorist, a member of MENSA, a learned Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

As a child she flew into Madeira on a flying boat - beginning a life-long love affair with the sea, cruising on Cunard and living on the Solent at Southsea, in the former Marine Barracks.

She came to live with Andrew the day before lock-down last year and they were married in Holy Trinity Church by the Bishop of Coventry last March.

She was someone with great warmth, optimism, kindness, generosity, courage and endurance, especially in the face of her terminal cancer.
