بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

On Thursday 13th of August, our beloved uncle- Syed Mojnu Ahmed (Fotik) returned back to Allah (SWT). In his memory and as a means of sadaqah jaaria for him, we would like to raise money towards a well in Bangladesh. Our uncle was a man of charitable etiquette and we would like to continue this through our own actions InshaAllah. 

It saddens us immensely as we write this, realisation of losing such a large character has still not set. Our loving uncle was a man of great etiquette. A humble man who set an example to all those around him without failure. Someone of great respect who both, family and community, could confide in. Our beloved uncle was someone with great humility, someone who encouraged good morals in everyone and always wanted to see those around him succeed. Our uncle always has and will continue to be the backbone of our family and we are forever in favour to him-for teaching us to be the best version of ourselves, to be good people and to care for those around us and for teaching the importance of deen within life. Our boro mama was always a influential person with education and deen- perfect balance and carried his knowledge with poise. 

Our uncle has left this world to be reunited with Allah (SWT) yet he left behind his legacy. The love we have for our uncle has only gotten stronger. As a family, we would like to carry this on, the legacy of a loving, intelligent and respectful man- who was so highly praised in the community for simply being who he was. 

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎

“Surely we belong to Allah and Indeed to him we shall return”
