Nagham's Great Asian Cycling Challenge

Great Asian Cycling Challenge · 30 October 2015
Many of us grew up in comfortable homes, went to good schools, and were surrounded by family and friends that enriched our lives with good memories, and stood by us during the bad times. We reminisce about our favorite cartoon shows, toys and video games; and we vividly remember what our first bike looked like, our favorite birthday present, and what that 56k modem sounded like when our parents finally got a computer and Internet connection at home. In many ways, we were fortunate to have some or all of these things; our childhoods shaped who we are today and paved the way to a bright future.
Sadly, to this day, there are kids who live in poverty or war-torn countries- deprived of the basic needs a child deserves- diminishing their chances of a good future.
With this challenge, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to help these kids get one of their own. To be able to do this, I need to raise AED 17,000, which will go to two charities: the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) and Lotus Kids' Club.
PCRF help children affected by conflicts in the Middle East regardless of their nationality or religion, providing urgent medical care. Lotus Kids' Club, run by the Senhoa Foundation, is a community centre in Cambodia that offers vulnerable children a safe place to play and socialise.
I hope you can lend your generosity and support to achieve this goal. Your donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated, and you can rest assured that donating through this site is totally secure; your information is safe and the money goes straight to the charities.
How great would it be if we can give these kids some of the things we grew up with.
