Story
So Sunday just gone was the big day, and it was absolutely boiling! No breeze or shade but thankfully the course was pretty flat.
I actually enjoyed the first 10 miles or so but my legs really cramped up for the last bit and it was a sruggle to say the least. I managed to keep going all the way without walking or stopping though and still had a bit of a sprint left in me for the finish line. I had hoped for a much quicker time, but I was also glad not to be one of the ones collapsing from overdoing it in the heat.
For those of you interested - yes my flat mate Katy (pictured) deservedly gave me a proper whooping with over 10 minutes to spare ... however I did win a white horse for scoring a basket at the fair the night before which I think is equally as impressive.... ;o)
Seriously though, the amount donated here to Macmillan Cancer Support has been truely fantastic and so it's really my friends and family generosity that I am most proud of. Thank you so much one and all for the much appreciated support, advice and words of encouragement.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
The many people that benefit from Macmillan Cancer Support very much appreciate any contributions made.
Nat xx
