Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you may know that my cousin suggested climbing Kilmanjaro sometime last year. Thinking it would never happen, I said 'yeah, I'll do it, why not?'... well now I've been, reached the summit and returned!
Five days up followed by one day down, the last three days I survived on two dextrose tablets, a chunk of Dairy Milk and three cups of tea...
Picking a worthy cause was a bit of a challenge, as there are so many out there, and I'm lucky enough that I've never needed to rely on a particular organisation to help me.
So after a bit of trawling the interweb and umming and erring, I decided on ActionAid, for a few reasons. Their remit is to help people all over the World; they're also a member of DEC; and they look like they spend their money well (about 85% of their income is spent on charitable work (http://www.intelligentgiving.com/charity/274467)).
So if you'd like to give a few pounds, then any contribution given will be gratefully received.
Thanks!!!
