We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I met the larger than life Doddie Weir, several years ago at a rugby dinner and I have spoken to him every year since, at the same annual dinner. He is a true gentleman, a fantastic, hilarious character and he wasn’t a bad rugby player either. It was incredibly sad to learn that Doddie had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, but to hear him speak so positively on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh prior to the Scotland v South Africa game in November 2018, was truely inspirational. Having listened to Doddie address the rugby family that day, I felt I wanted to contribute in some way and so decided to run in Doddies home town of Edinburgh and raise money to help people who are suffering from this cruel disease. I have now entered the Edinburgh Marathon which takes place on Sunday 26th May 2019. Please support me in this event and help to raise money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
