Story
My local Cricket club, Blunham CC, has nearly 100 colts aged 14 and under. However our clubhouse and training facilities are totally inadequate. To support the work we are doing in coaching and encouraging these youngsters in taking up sport and an interest, we need to improve what we have significantly to ensure their progress.
We aim to raise £100,000 to refurbish and extend the existing pavilion, plus a further £34,000 for nets.
To raise funds towards this aim we are going to try to break the World Record for the Longest Continuous Game of Cricket. This will take place from 9am on Friday the 19th of September to 8pm on Sunday the 21st of September. 59 hours playing through 2 nights to beat the current record of 50 hours set by an Australian club and an unratified attempt of 55 hours set by a club in New Zealand.
24 mad Englishmen out in the Midnight Moon!!
It will obviously be very tiring so your support, however small, will be much appreciated.
