I am running the 2023 Royal Parks Half Marathon again to raise money for an amazing charity. 

This is another outing for the essential Saturday runners group who weekly keep each other sane. Started in Lockdown, four local West London mums kept each other sane by running together when we couldn't meet any other way. 

Ever since, we have met and run weekly, sharing each others lives, offering support where we can, laughing a lot and willing each other round a route towards coffee and more chat. 

I have not been able to train as much as I'd have liked over the summer and greatly missed running with these formidable women. But I am back at it, slowly but surely and am hopeful I can make it round the 20km in a couple of weekend's time at the Royal Parks Half Marathon. 

Annually we aim to put our running to some wider good use. The Children's Book Project is a wonderful locally run organisation who are passionate about ensuring all children have access to as wide a  range of books as possible to support their curiosity, imagination and learning.
