We fund eye examinations and glasses to change lives through the gift of vision

Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you for visiting our page

As most people know we recently got married in August 2015 and as one of our wedding gifts we were given a tandem Skydive in Dubai. This is something we would never have imagined doing as we are both very afraid of heights. As newly weds we thought what better way to overcome our biggest fear of heights than to do a skydive over one of the world’s most beautiful cities for charity.

Skydive Dubai is one of the most spectacular drop zones in the world with breathtaking views of The Palm Dubai. Diving from 13,000 ft and shooting down at 210 km/hr, we are extremely excited to have been given this unique opportunity, but at the same time nervous to be taking on this challenge.

Both being newly qualified optometrists working within independents, multiples and hospitals, we not only want to care for those within our community but also help transform lives throughout the world. We have decided to raise the money for the charity Optometry Giving Sight who also work with Vision Aid Overseas.

“Sight can make a difference between a life of poverty and a life of opportunity “

Optometry giving sight aim to eliminate avoidable blindness amongst the millions of people who are blind or visually impaired in countries who do not have the access to eye exams and glasses.

We would very much appreciate it if you could help us raise £500 or more for this charity so we can all be involved in helping to transform lives through the gift of vision.

Thank You

Irshad and Raeesah Ibrahim
