The Aspire Channel Swim 2016 · 5 December 2016 to 31 March 2017 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

All of our club swimmers are taking in the Aspire Channel Swim 2016, swimming the distance of the Channel in just one evening to raise money for Aspire - that's over 1,400 lengths of the pool.

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently.

This is a big challenge, but the more we raise, the more of a difference we'll make, so please be generous!
