My name is Nick Searles, I am a tennis coach and personal trainer.

When I decided I wanted to do something for Marie Curie Cancer Care, I ran the idea by a few friends that I could go to see all the west end shows one night after the other and get sponsored for it, that seemed to fall on deaf ears and the sadistic side of them came out, and they thought it would be much better if some pain was involved then they would sponsor me.

So some bright spark said how about sponsored sit ups ( no cost involved, or any pleasure for me) that seemed to gain unanimous support.  Contrary to my idea, this was something they thought I should do on my own!

So its to be 1000 sit ups a day for three days.  This will be the culmination of a few events I have arranged.  This has now been completed!
