Nick's 10 in 10

10 in 10 · 17 August 2014
Starting on 17th August 2014, I will be raising vital funds for The Brain Tumour Charity, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to fighting this devastating disease, by running 10 marathons in 10 weeks!
I wanted to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity for personal reasons having lost my sister Eleanor to a tumour aged only 2.

Over 9,000 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour each year and brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet less than 2% of cancer research funding goes on brain tumours in the UK. This year The Brain Tumour Charity is committed to changing this and will invest £2.5million in world-class, pioneering research across the UK this year, making it significantly the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours in the UK. The Charity is accredited and commended by The Association of Medical Research Charities for ensuring that all the research it funds is selected through stringent, independent peer review, the only charity in its field to do so.
The Charity offers a comprehensive service to enable everyone with a brain tumour, their families and carers to receive the best support and information and achieve the highest quality of life possible, as well as raising awareness of brain tumours to improve life chances and reduce diagnosis times.
