London to Amsterdam Bike Ride · 8 June 2022

Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children's Hospice provide specialist palliative care to adults and children across the Fylde Coast and much needed support for their families. Our services are available free of charge, but with limited government funding we need to raise £14 million every year.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So I am getting back on my bike and doing London to Amsterdam. It is a 4 day cycle challenge covering over 90 miles per day.

As a nurse at Trinity on the Inpatient Unit you never realise that one day you might need the hospice services we provide. In October 2019 my step dad Steve was diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer. He had only just started to attend the Day Therapy Unit when the pandemic hit. The Trinity community team rang Steve weekly whilst he was isolating. Last September Steve passed away at home and again the community and hospice at home teams supported Steve and us as a family.

Trinity Hospice has taken a financial hit due to the pandemic and that is why I am raising money for this much needed local charity.

Please donate what you can. It all adds up and is grately appreciated. Thankyou x
