Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I lost my Mom, Pam, in 2003 to breast cancer. She was such a special lady and has left a huge gap in our lives but through the constant support, care and compassion of the staff at St Giles Hospice my Mom was able to spend her last few weeks at home with her family where she wanted to be, which meant the world to my Dad, me and my sister Joy, and her husband Ian. We miss her everyday but know that without St Giles and their wonderful support we would not have been able to spend that precious time with Mom at home.
It is because of St Giles and the need to show an outward sign of rememberance to my lovely Mom that myself and Sarah have decided on the mad epic bike ride from John O'Groats to Lands End to raise money for the amazing people at St Giles so they can continue with their essential support for patients and families at home and in the hospice.
We start on Sunday 22nd August, 2010 in Scotland and hope to be pedalling!!! ( not pushing!!!) past the finishing line Wednesday 1st September,2010. We will keep you up to date with our progress and would love to see anybody that wants to support us en route...... don't forget to bring your bike.
Thankyou so much for donating, nobody should lose someone they love but with the help of some very special people the pain can be slightly eased.
