Nicole and Andrew

Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half Marathon 2015 · 31 May 2015 ·
Dear friends and family,
and to all my Lupus patients and their friends and families,
This year Nicole and Andrew have decided to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon and we would like to raise money for LUPUS UK.
Nicole works as a consultant rheumatologist in Edinburgh. She has a special interest in seeing patient with a connective tissue disease/vasculitis including systemic lupus erythematosus.
Andrew, her husband, works as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Birmingham. He has a special interest in patients with a chronic inflammatory arthritis.
We are running for more than 10 years together to keep fit. We already wanted to run last year for LUPUS UK but the priority then was to organise our wedding in Düsseldorf and the UK.
LUPUS UK has been generous in supporting an East of Scotland Lupus nurse and a research project within the neuroradiology department, with the support and patients from the rheumatology department in Edinburgh.

So please dig deep and donate now.
Nicole and Andrew would be very happy to see any familiar faces at the finishing line to meet up with us. The Half Marathon run starts at 8 am and we are expecting to finish the 21 kilometers between 2 hours 15 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes. Anything less would be a personal success. Anything longer would still be some sort of an achievement.
