Story
Gemma, Megan, Debbie and Charlotte are four senior nurses who are very proud to be working on one of the busiest neonatal units in London, if not, the country.
Each year we use our knowledge, skills and expertise to care for around 900 newborn babies. The unit provides 24 hour specialist care for premature and sick infants who are born in South East London and Southern England with medical and surgical problems such as breathing difficulties, heart conditions, brain, kidney and metabolic problems. In order to care for these babies, urgent and life saving treatment and equipment is required, and this is where YOU can help.
We are hoping you will sponsor us to help us to reach our goal, so we can improve and use state-of-the-art facilities to help save tiny lives. Any donation is more than generous. Help us towards buying a new incubator or perhaps some more breast pumps for mums to express milk for babies, providing them with the best start in life. Any donation, big or small, will be gratefully received by all the staff, patients and families on the neonatal unit.
We are all facing a personal challenge in running a half marathon through the beautiful royal parks of London. The challenge, difficult for us all, is in no means a comparison to the challenges faced by babies and their parents, every day.
