Hi my name is nidge dawber and I have been diagnosed with metatastic prostate cancer, this cancer has no screening for it and currently trials are being run to help develop ways of detecting prostate cancer and how best to cure or contrrol it.

I am taking part in a trial to help look at how your genetics can cause this cancer, I will also be starting treatment in september this treatment has been on trial for over 5years it is the latest available.

It is a combination of chemotherapy and hormone therapy, it has caused quiet a stir with some saying this may become the gold star treatment for prostate cancer.
